ALTERNATE PLANNING BOARD MEMBER VACANCY

Work for the Planning Board consists primarily of:

• Conducting  investigations, reviewing maps and reports, and making recommendations about all matters relating to the planning and development of the Town
• Reviewing Site plans, subdivisions, and special use permits for approval
• Reviewing all matters referred by the Zoning Board of Appeals and Town Board

Generally there is one meeting per month.  The Alternate would attend all Planning Board meetings to become well informed on all of the issues before the Board but would only vote in the event that there is no quorum of regular members present at that meeting.  Four hours of mandatory training are required each year.  Training costs are paid by the Town.

NO Compensation is offered.  This is a volunteer position.
